A traffic safety-themed activity was held at Suzhou Joy City in Xiangcheng District on Dec. 1, one day before the 13th National Traffic Safety Day. It was co-sponsored by the Suzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau, the Suzhou Municipal Civilization Office, and the Suzhou Municipal Traffic Administration Bureau, aiming to raise public awareness of road safety and help people develop the habit of following traffic rules.
The theme of this year’s Traffic Safety Day is “Making joint efforts to ensure road safety”. Statistics show that the number of vehicles registered in use has reached 5.57 million in Suzhou, ranking 4th among key cities in the country, and the number of non-motor vehicles reached 11.61 million.
Local public security and transportation departments have carried out a series of traffic safety-themed activities to popularize knowledge of road safety and make people more aware of the importance of abiding by traffic laws and regulations.
